About Learning
I had my first kid recently which made me realize that you need to keep learning. Why do i say this? Well, after college I though that would be the end of my learning stage and it would be all daisies trying to make a shit load of money. Unfortunately that was not the case as I have realized after a very long time. Now if i say i regret all those smoking sessions....probably not but I wish I was more productive in my 20s.
Now that I am turning 31 this August I do feel even older and think that I have wasted 5 years of my life but am trying to make up for that. Anyway the whole point to all this blabber is that you need to keep learning because that is the only way you are going to self improve.
Some of the ways that I have sped up my learning process is by going to websites such as:
Lynda.com
Digital Tutors
Creative Live
Tuts Plus
These are probably the best sources I can think of right now but there is so much more on Youtube and vimeo that you can get distracted or even overwhelmed. My suggestion would be just to do an actual course which you would find on Lynda. These videos are easy to understand and if you are a lazy cunt like me then you would set a goal of doing 5 videos a day and work your way up. However if you are really interested you would probably just finish the whole damn course on the day itself or in a week if it's a huge course like 'Introduction to Illustrator'. Btw that course was a beast but I got it done which is the main thing.
Now the question is am I an expert now? Nah not even close but as long as your learning you will eventually get better at it and for someone like me I only like remembering shit that makes sense to keep in my small brain.
KEEP LEARNING
